Home teams typically get a three point bump when Vegas gives the line, which makes the Denver Broncos open with a 2.5-point advantage over the visiting Tennessee Titans interesting. However, the line has sine swung even further in the Titans favor at the time of this writing and now stands at a mere 2-points. Basically, Vegas is saying that the Titans are the better team on a neutral field.
Tennessee is 2-3 with two score wins over the Cleveland Browns and Atlanta Falcons, two teams that have not been good at all to start the season. They have also lost by two scores to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hardly an impressive resume.
They do have a good defense, which means Joe Flacco and the Broncos offense needs to get things going and keep things going in this game. The biggest question mark and why the Broncos line is so small is the Broncos run defense. Will we see the defense that gave up nearly 300 yards to the Jaguars or the one that gave up 30 against the Los Angeles Chargers last week?
That is what it will come down too. If the Titans gash the Broncos defense in the run game, then this line is probably quite favorable and Denver will lose. I’m going to say they’ve fixed their issues and Denver will get their second win of the season.
