Update: The Denver Broncos blow a 20-point lead and fall 27-23 to the Minnesota Vikings. Full recap.
The Denver Broncos face a brutal five game stretch coming out of their Bye Week. Their first opponent will be the 7-3 Minnesota Vikings who are a perfect 4-0 at home this season. Their +80 net points is fifth in the league.
For Head Coach Vic Fangio, he knows that for his team to have a chance in this game they will need the offense to duplicate their big play success from their win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 9.
“We made some big plays last week, hopefully that will continue,” Fangio said. “You have to have big plays in your offense to be a good offense. Minnesota, who we all know is a good offense, they had their way with Dallas pretty much last night. They’re second in the league in plays that go for 20 or more yards even though they’re really good. You have to have some explosive plays.”
The offense will also need to control the clock. They didn’t do that in the win over the Browns, which put too much stress on a tired defense late in the game. Against a team like the Vikings, that would be a recipe for disaster.
Kickoff is set for Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Mile High time at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota and will air on CBS. If you are looking for an online stream, fuboTV will be streaming this game.
