Update: The Broncos rally late to top Chargers in 23-20 thriller.
The Denver Broncos have lost four of their last five and have dropped to 3-8 on the season. With things looking so dire, we may see rookie quarterback Drew Lock get his first career start in Week 13 as the team hosts the Los Angeles Chargers.
If he doesn’t get the start, then it may not bode well for his NFL future as Brandon Allen is coming off one of the worst quarterback performances in the NFL this season.
With the Chargers, Philip Rivers appears to have hit an age wall and they could pose a solid matchup for Denver’s defense to rebound this week. However, if Allen is starting, who knows if we’ll see any sort of offensive production as the big plays withered to nothing last week against the Buffalo Bills.
Denver holds the fifth overall pick right now, so winning games may no longer be in their best interest. However, in the NFL, few teams ever truly give in to the tank.
Kickoff is set for 2:25 p.m. Mile High time on December 1, 2019 at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado. You can get tickets to the Broncos-Chargers game from Stubhub or if you are staying home you can watch the live stream of the game through FuboTV.
