O-Line will be a huge issue for the Broncos in the offseason

Mike Klis joined BCT and went through all the possibilities on the o-line in Denver

There’s no secret in Broncos Country that the offensive line will be a major area of need in the offseason. When Mike Klis joined Ryan Edwards, Benjamin Allbright, and Anthony Rondriguez on BCT on 850 KOA he made an observation that shows how many issues they really have in the trenches.

While Garett Bolles is the obvious concern at left tackle, the Ja’Wuan James injury plagued 2019 could have a major impact on the 2020 season. Klis mentioned the possibility of losing Conor McGovern to free agency, and that Ron Leary probably won’t be back with the Broncos.

That leaves Dalton Risner as the only player up front that can seemingly be counted on moving forward. “Maybe Bolles becomes your swing tackle, maybe Elijah Wilkinson becomes your right guard...” The uncertainty is palpable.

After the offensive line talk it becomes apparent that Denver is still not as close to being a contender as many in Broncos Country had hoped. However, a big piece could be in place. Drew Lock has stepped into the starting role and made it clear that he will be the guy in 2020.

Lock and the Broncos may struggle more than many expect according to Klis, but in the end, the value of the last two games will be in watching the offense continue to grow.
