All the drama surrounding this topic bubbled over yesterday when 104.3 the FAN tweeted out an article asking fans if they think the Broncos should approach Sanders about a contract restructure. Well, Sanders saw this tweet and responded by saying “No way Jose” and the speculating began running wild after that.
This report basically puts an end to all that drama and means that Sanders will return to the Broncos offense in 2019. However, he is dealing with an Achilles injury that will likely sideline for most if not all of the offseason/Training Camp workouts. So his health status will be something to monitor moving forward.
The Broncos do have youngsters Courtland Sutton, DaeSean Hamilton, and Tim Patrick behind him on the roster and all three will likely see playing time early on as Sanders eases back from injury.
In the end, it appears that Sanders will play out his final year of his contract with the Broncos and hopefully gives quarterback Joe Flacco the deep threat option we have known Sanders to be throughout his career.
