The Denver Broncos will play the Atlanta Falcons in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Mile High time at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio the team announced on Tuesday.
This was expected as the Broncos will have both long-time owner Pat Bowlen and cornerback Champ Bailey enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, August, 3, 2019 with the Class of 2019.
“With Mr. Bowlen and Champ Bailey part of this year’s induction class, it’s an honor for the Broncos to play in the Hall of Fame Game,” Head Coach Vic Fangio said via the Broncos website. “We’re looking forward to seeing a lot of Broncos fans in Canton, and it’s also special for us to help kick off the NFL’s 100th season. Football-wise, it gives our team an extra week of training camp and additional practices that we’ll use to our advantage.”
This will be the fourth time the Broncos have appeared in the Hall of Fame Game, but the first since John Elway’s induction in 2004. That is strange considering Elway was the first Bronco ever enshrined in the Pro Hall of Fame.
Tickets for the 2019 Hall of Fame Game and the Enshrinement Ceremony go on sale Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m. ET at: https://t.co/gWwodEPbC5
