Our FanPulse polls are back for a post free agency edition. You can sign-up to participate in these fan polls for 2019 at any time. This week, the main questions had to do with how confident are fans in their team right now and whether or not the team did better or worse in free agency.
After ending the 2018 season at 28% confidence in the direction of the team, up was really the only way to go.
John Elway immediately took action to get the team better by firing Vance Joseph and bringing in Vic Fangio who had built the leagues best defensive unit with the Chicago Bears.
Then, Elway made a trade with the Baltimore Ravens to bring in Joe Flacco. Replacing Case Keenum with Flacco is probably going to be a net positive. In free agency. the Broncos picked up Ja’Wuan James at right tackle, Kareem Jackson at cornerback, and Fangio’s former player in Chicago, slot cornerback Bryce Callahan. They also re-signed a few other players, but the free agent class looks to be a good one.
All of these moves so far has pushed Broncos fan confidence to 69%, with 95% thinking the team got better through free agency. To me, that suggests that we’re all much happier with the team, but there is still work to be done. Bring on the 2019 NFL Draft!
