The Jacksonville Jaguars announced earlier today that they released former Denver Broncos defensive end Malik Jackson. This was an expected cut that now puts the interior pass rusher back on the free agent market. Should the Broncos be interested in a reunion? I say yes.
I'm told #Jaguars DT Malik Jackson was been informed he will be released as early as today, per source.

Jackson is coming off a down year for a Jaguars squad that was full of players having a down year. After totaling 14.5 sacks through his first two seasons with them, he only totaled 3.5 sacks this past season and was eventually benched because of poor play. Now, the former Broncos standout is hitting the free agent market once again.
Here’s why I think this would be a great reunion for Jackson and the Broncos. Right now, Shelby Harris is the only interior pass rusher on the team. He’s a great all around player and a key piece to the Broncos defense, but he doesn’t provide that same threat that Jackson did during his time here. Derek Wolfe and Adam Gotsis offer very little in that part of the game and DeMarcus Walker has barely played the past two seasons despite being a second round selection by the team. Jackson cures all that, especially if he can return to form.
DT Malik Jackson can still play. Still has jump, very good hand usage and range.... pic.twitter.com/cjSe0LH00V

An interior pass rush disrupts the quarterback more than edge pressure and this was evident during the Broncos Super Bowl run. Let Von and Chubb rush off the edges and Shelby and Jackson can rush from the inside. Add that with the mad genius of Vic Fangio pulling all the strings and you have the potential of a dominant front seven unit for the Broncos once again.
I am usually against reunions like this but this one makes too much sense for both sides. Even Pro Bowl cornerback Chris Harris Jr. is getting in on the recruitment of Jackson.
What up @TheMalikJackson come home lol

I think the odds of this happening are low but a man can wish. What do you think Broncos Country, should the Broncos bring back Malik Jackson? Or should I stop hanging on to the past and hope the Broncos spend their assets elsewhere?
