Ed Oliver and the Broncos would be a dream pairing

That means the dream probably won’t happen, but at least for a few more days there’s still hope it comes to life.

Happy Easter, Broncos Country!

In a few days, the conjecture, rumors and speculation will cease.

We will (finally) know who John Elway and the Denver Broncos take at the No. 10 pick in the NFL Draft ... if they take anyone or perhaps trade back. As it stands now, my dream is to have Ed Oliver there for the Broncos. The thought of him in between Von Miller and Bradley Chubb gives me tingles. And as I told Michael Klahr on Saturday (my segment starts at the 34 minute, 35 second mark), that’s how you beat Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. To get pressure on the edges and interior (what Denver has missed since Malik Jackson left) is what every defense needs.

Oliver added to the Orange Rush would make it even tougher to block and give fans another reason to get this sweet Orange Rush hoodie.

On the latest MHR Radio Podcast (iTunes, Spotify and Stitcher), Adam Malnati and I talked about how the most interesting thing about this year’s draft is how wide open it seems for the Broncos. It all depends on what happens with those first nine picks, but Elway and Denver could have multiple avenues with that pick — including trading back. There are those who say the money portion of this draft is the players in the low teens to late 30s.

However the draft unfolds for the Broncos, in a few days, the conjecture, rumors and speculation will (finally) cease. Though hopefully my dream comes to life.
