According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, the Denver Broncos aggressively shopped cornerback Chris Harris during Thursday’s first-round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He believes a trade will either go down tonight or tomorrow.
• The Broncos shopped CB Chris Harris aggressively Thursday, and a trade could happen today or tomorrow. The team picked TE Noah Fant with the No. 20 pick on Thursday night, and Denver’s picking 41st on Friday. If they can build a surplus of picks with a Harris trade, that might build in the luxury to take a quarterback in Round 2. For what it’s worth, I was told GM John Elway continuously raised Drew Lock’s name in draft meetings the last couple week. Denver’s been linked to Lock since the Senior Bowl in January.
There is a lot to unpack here, but I am going to focus on the Harris part since the Lock stuff seems more assuming than anything.
We have had conflicting information about Harris’s trade market. Multiple reports out there state that the market for Harris is good and something will likely go down. However, you have 9NEWS Denver’s Mike Klis saying there has been “little to no” trade interest in Harris(seems fishy).

I still think something goes down at some point during tonight’s day two of the 2019 NFL Draft. I know many fans want this to get resolved peacefully and with a new deal, and that could still happen, but it seems like it’s quickly heading to a trade.
Teams like the Colts, Texans, Eagles, Browns, and so on figure to have interest in Harris. Benjamin Allbright tweeted out that any team who wants Harris will need to offer at least a third rounder or offer a fair player swap for Harris. So watching how this potentially plays out tonight could be storyline of day two for the Broncos.
