For the Broncos: ...

For the Denver Broncos, who will be the breakout guy, comeback kid, rising star, don’t forget about, needs to rebound, darkhorse MVP, and under the radar players for 2019?

NFL: Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

There is a thing going around Twitter where fans name the one player for each category. I thought it would be fun to bring that to Mile High Report this morning. You can participate on Twitter too, but be sure to copy your responses into the comments section below and see what other things.

I really liked Scotty Payne’s list linked above, but obviously I had to make a few adjustments to make it my own.

For The Broncos...

Breakout guy: Courtland Sutton

Comeback kid: Emmanuel Sanders

Rising Star: Bradley Chubb

Don’t forget about: Justin Simmons

Needs to rebound: Garett Bolles

Darkhorse MVP: Royce Freeman

Under the Radar: Will Parks

I see Sutton as the breakout guy in 2019, because it felt like he was on the verge of just that during his rookie season. Expect big things from him. Sanders is coming off a major injury and likely to be the comeback kid in any situation. Chubb is already a rising star, but expect him to blow the hell up next season.

Having been a big fan of Simmons, I was disappointed by his play last year. I attribute that to the worst coaching the Broncos organization has seen since Josh McDaniels came to town, so I am definitely not going to forget about Simmons this year under Vic Fangio. Then of course, Bolles needs to have Mike Munchak work some magic on technique to clean up his tendency to hold.

Then we get to my two favorite players heading into next season. First, under Rich Scangarello, I expect Phillip Lindsay to be the most dynamic offensive weapon the Broncos have and will continue to be the guy we all know and love from his rookie year. However, this offense is a between the tackles kind of deal and that’s where Royce Freeman has the ability to blow up in his sophomore season. Could Denver end up with two thousand yard rushers? And lastly, Parks might be the most under the radar player on the Broncos defense.

Who makes your list?
