The NFL announced its important league dates for the upcoming 2019-2020 season on Tuesday. From trade deadlines to the 2020 NFL Draft, we have those official dates now. Here are some of the more important dates for us Denver Broncos fans.
August 1, 2019: Hall of Fame Game, Atlanta vs. Denver, Canton, Ohio.
August 31, 2019: Prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time, clubs must reduce rosters to a maximum of 53 players on the Active/Inactive List.
September 5, 2019: Regular Season Week 1.
October 15-16, 2019: Fall League Meeting, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
October 29, 2019: All trading ends for 2019 at 4:00 p.m., New York time.
December 12, 2019: League Meeting, Las Colinas, Texas.
December 29, 2019: End of Regular Season.
December 30, 2019: Option exercise period begins for Fifth-Year Option for First-Round Selections from the 2017 NFL Draft. To exercise the option, the club must give written notice to the player on or after December 30, 2019, but prior to May 5, 2020.
January 4-5, 2020: Wild Card Playoffs.
January 11-12, 2020: Divisional Playoffs.
January 18, 2020: East-West Shrine Game, Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, Florida.
January 19, 2020: AFC and NFC Championship Games.
January 20, 2020: Deadline for college players who are underclassmen to apply for Special Eligibility. A list of underclassmen who have been approved for entry into the 2020 College Draft will be sent to clubs on January 24.
January 25, 2020: Senior Bowl, Ladd-Peebles Stadium, Mobile, Alabama.
February 2, 2020: Super Bowl LIV, Hard Rock Stadium, South Florida
February 24-March 2, 2020: NFL Scouting Combine, Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana.
March 10, 2020: Prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time, deadline for clubs to designate Franchise or Transition Players.
March 16-18, 2020: Legal Tampering Period.
March 18, 2020: The 2020 League Year and Free Agency period begin at 4:00 p.m., New York time.
March 29-April 1, 2020: Annual League Meeting, Palm Beach, Florida.
April 23-25, 2020: NFL Draft, Las Vegas, Nevada.
