The Denver Broncos training camp schedule continues with Day 3 today. The players first day off will come on Tuesday.

The Denver Broncos have had a solid first two days of training camp. Head Coach Vic Fangio has carried his no nonsense, old school approach through to camp, but players have responded with a positive approach. Everyone is there to learn and get better. This group wants to win football games in 2019.

For the first time in 11 years, we’ll see former Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan on the field in Denver. He’ll be visiting and touring the new parts of the facility. It’s good to see those fences are being mended.

The highlights from Day 2 included Alexander Johnson stepping into the spot left by Todd Davis as he recovers from his injury. He had a solid outing with the first team, but Fangio hinted that we’ll probably see other reserve players come in and compete at that position.

“I think you saw A.J. (Alexander Johnson) out there today running with the first group. Probably tomorrow or the next day it’ll be somebody else,” Fangio said. “We’re just going to kind of even off the work with everybody.”

The tight end battle was interesting on Day 2 as well, with most of them getting reps with the first team. Undrafted free agent Austin Fort impressed with several quality catches during practice. Bug Howard had himself the catch of the day as he came down with a pass from Brett Rypien with four defenders in the area.
