The Denver Broncos are back for their final week of public training camp prior to doing some joint practices with the San Francisco 49ers before their preseason game on August 19th. Before practice, there was some major news coming out of Denver.
First, news broke that running back Theo Riddick will be out 6-8 weeks with a fractured shoulder. Not only that, but the team surprisingly and suddenly waived second-year edge rusher Jeff Holland. One move hurts the teams’ depth heading into the regular season, but the other opens up some questions as to the why so soon part of the waiver. In Holland’s place, the Broncos signed cornerback Rashard Causey.
Perhaps we’ll learn more about both situations from Head Coach Vic Fangio after practice today.
Stay tuned to Mile High Report as Broncos camp continues.
