Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was on the air with Adam Schein on Thursday and was asked which team he felt could shock a lot of people this season and make a run in the playoffs.
Schein threw in a bunch of teams not named the Denver Broncos, but Romo made it quite clear who he felt was a good underdog pick in 2019.

“I think that Vic Fangio is as good of a defensive coordinator and he’ll show how great of a head coach he is,” Romo said on Mad Dog Sports Radio on Thursday. “You give him Von Miller and now they went and got the one quarterback that I think a lot of teams should have gotten this offseason in Joe Flacco. That right there shows me that this team has leadership on offense, a great defensive coordinator and defensive players. This is going to be a tough team, especially if you have to go to Denver.”
This team is kind of flying on the radar, which is to be expected considering how badly this franchise crashed and burned in the post-Peyton Manning era. However, this might be the best team they have fielded since they won Super Bowl 50 during the 2015 season and no one is paying attention. Hopefully they give people a reason to start here in about a month.
