Report: Broncos found suitor for stadium naming rights

Looks like the Denver Broncos are finally going to find a company to take over the stadium naming rights.

The Denver Broncos are in deep negotiations with a local Denver company to take over stadium naming rights for Broncos Stadium at Mile High according to Les Shapiro of The Afternoon Drive on Mile High Sports Radio AM 1340.

When the team failed to find a suitor last season, they received approval to take over naming rights from Sports Authority. The Metropolitan Football Stadium District board approved the renaming to Broncos Stadium at Mile High last June as the Broncos continued their search for a new partner.

This process has tested Broncos President and CEO Joe Ellis’ leadership. He is also trying to navigate an ownership dispute, so it would be a good win for him to close that deal and move the team in a positive direction.

I still think the right decision would have been to honor Pat Bowlen who made the Broncos one of the greatest franchises in the NFL, but that’s just me.
