The Denver Broncos are back at training camp with a fresh look at the first preseason game of the season against the Atlanta Falcons. They won 14-10 on a tip ball touchdown reception by rookie Juwann Winfree. There will be plenty of work to do after what was a bit of a sloppy game by both teams.
Drew Lock will continue his progress. He didn’t have a great game and he did look a bit lost out there. The good news is that despite that, he avoided the big mistakes and kept his passes short and safe. As the game starts to slow down for him, it will be interesting to see how he attacks the middle of the field.
The Broncos did lose Billy Winn for the season and special teams ace Joseph Jones is getting a second opinion on his injury, but he could also be gone for the season. Those are the things we’ll want to see the team avoid in the next FOUR preseason games. Yuck!
Stay tuned to Mile High Report as Broncos camp continues.
