According to 9NEWS Denver’s Mike Klis, the Denver Broncos claimed wide receiver Diontae Spencer off waivers. Spencer previously played for the Pittsburgh Steelers but was among their roster cuts yesterday.

Spencer looks to be the Broncos return man now which likely means the end of the line for receiver River Cracraft.
The road to the Broncos has been an eventful one for Spencer. He was originally an undrafted free agent signee by the Rams back in 2014. From there he ended up in Canada in the CFL for a few years where he was an All-Star in 2017 and 2018. His play in the CFL earned him a reserve/futures contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers in January of this year.
He obviously did not make the Steelers roster, but he caught the eye of someone on the Broncos and is now expected to be their return man come week one of the 2019 regular season.

Look for Spencer to be the Broncos kick and punt return man and hopefully with his electric 4.34 speed he can take one or two to the house during the season.
