There’s been a mix of good and bad through the first two weeks of the season and since I haven’t yet won my millions, I’m here for another week of sharing my ultimate DFS team. There are some surprises as well as a few guys that I have played every week and will continue to do so until they disappoint me - Dalvin Cook.
The lineup is taken from Draftkings.com but should be similar to other sites.
QB - Russell Wilson
There is a clear tier one when it comes to QBs in 2019 and though Mahomes, Prescott and Lamar Jackson come as no surprise, Wilson is the fourth on the list and is only four points behind Showtime in fantasy points scored. He’s also playing against Arizona, the 29th ranked defense this season. The future HOFer should continue his quiet dominance this week and can still be found for a decent price.
RB - Kerryon Johnson
Okay, so he hasn’t been all that great so far this season but there are signs of the offense putting more weight on his shoulders. He’s also a stellar talent and is facing a 27th ranked rushing defense in Kansas City. Detroit knows that the best way to defeat KC is to keep their offense off the field and they will try to achieve that by pounding the rock.
RB - Dalvin Cook
I’ve touted this guy since before the season and he has rewarded me by finishing with the most RB fantasy points through three weeks. The dude is a monster and yes, he’s facing the 5th ranked Chicaco rushing D but that won’t change my mind. I’m rolling with this dude until I look like a fool.
WR - Keenan Allen
Did you know that according to NFL.com, Allen has 18 more points than the second-place WR through Week 3. The guy is an amazing talent and is by a longshot River’s favorite target. Oh, and did I mention he is facing the Miami Dolphins, the 32nd ranked defense and a team that loves giving up points?
WR - D.J. Metcalf
Though Hulk hasn’t been brilliant this season, he’s been solid and seems like a guy that could have a big game at any moment. He’s playing with our ultimate QB and against a not-so-ultimate defense. This one is a bit of a risk but he is a guy with a matchup that could pay off.
WR - Terry McLaurin
King of solid production, McLaurin is the 10th ranked fantasy WR and his QB is Case Keenum. ‘nuff said about his talent. He’s put up a TD in each game and is facing the 32nd ranked passing defense - the New York Giants. If he is going to slow down it won’t likely be this week.
TE - Greg Olsen
Olsen is another guy who just doesn’t take fantasy weeks off. He’s the 5th best scorer among Tight Ends and that’s playing with two different QBs. This week he faces the 23rd ranked passing defense - Houston - and will hope to keep rolling with Kyle Allen who continues to play QB in place of an injured Cam Newton.
FLEX - Phillip Lindsay
Lindsay has actually been a top-ten RB in 2019 and it feels like he is just now getting noticed by OC, Rich Scangarello. The guy is such a spark-plug of awesomeness that even though he is playing against a fairly okay Jaguar run defense, I have faith in my guy. Also, if Dalton Risner throws him into the endzone again, the points only go to Lindsay.
Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor!
