The Denver Broncos are slowly turning into the walking wounded. Wednesday’s practice participation report listed ten starters. Some of which we already knew about as they have been there for a few weeks, but there were new additions after a tough, physical loss to the Green Bay Packers.
The good news is that of the DNP list, half of them could play this weekend. Derek Wolfe had a scary injury that looked like it could end up season-ending, but he may be table to just tape that up and go. Both Kareem Jackson and Josey Jewell are nursing hamstring issues, so those are two statuses we should keep an eye on this week.
“They came back better than we were initially worried about,” Head Coach Vic Fangio said of Wolfe’s injury. “I think Derek is doing much better. He has a chance this week. We won’t know. He’ll be questionable all week, and the same with Josey.”
It’s been a physical start to the season and after the toughest training camp this team has had in several years, you can see the strain it is taking on the injury front.
