Joe Flacco opened the second quarter with a quick slant to Courtland Sutton for a modest five yard gain. Flacco faked a hand off to Phillip Lindsay on the next play and went to Emmanuel Sanders on a deep crosser who broke free and wasn’t brought down until he was inside the Jacksonville Jaguars 10 yard line.

The Denver Broncos scored on the very next play on a pass from Flacco to Sutton to put the Broncos up two scores over the Jaguars.
Broncos 14, Jaguars 3.
Leonard Fournette gained 10-yards on his first carry of the second quarter. Two plays later Gardner Minshew aired it out, but the play was negated by an illegal shift. The Broncos declined to force a third and nine.
Minshew, from the shotgun, felt the pressure and with Von Miller in his face chucked the ball incomplete and in the dirt to bring out the punting team for Jacksonville.
Just one reason why the lack of #Broncos sacks have been overblown? The pass rush has done work on passing downs the last two weeks. pic.twitter.com/bh78GyapeR

Pinned at their own 5-yard line, the Broncos had an incomplete pass and a short inside run by Royce Freeman to setup a third and long. Flacco had Sutton open outside, but overthrew him for another three and out.
The Broncos defense stood tall on the next drive with Brady Chubb getting in on the sack fun to end the next Jaguars drive.

Phillip Lindsay took back-to-back carried on the next possession to setup a third and one. Royce Freeman powered through for the one yard to get that first down on the next play.
Flacco hit Freeman on a slant for a seven yard gain to get the Broncos into Jaguars territory on first down. Flacco went to Lindsay on a screen pass who turned it up field for another first down for Denver.
From the Jaguars 39-yard line, Flacco tossed it up to Noah Fant who dropped the back shoulder. It was a bit underthrown. Flacco tried that again, this time with DaeSean Hamilton who came down with it at the Jaguars 11-yard line for the first down.

Flacco was called for an intentional grounding on first down, which put the Broncos in a 2nd and 22 situation. Flacco hit Emmanuel Sanders to get eight of those yards back. Flacco had his next pass attempt batted away to bring out Brandon McManus for the field goal attempt.
Broncos 17, Jaguars 3.
Von Miller said hello again with his 100th career sack and his second in the game on the Jaguars next drive.

The Broncos would get the ball back and quickly drive across midfield with less than two minutes to go in the half. Joe Flacco made completions to DaeSean Hamilton and Royce Freeman to convert first downs to get the Broncos into field goal range.
Flacco sailed a ball to Sanders that was intercepted and return into Broncos territory with less than a minute to go in the half.

The Jaguars got one first down and moved the ball down inside the 20-yard line where Minshew hit D.J. Chark for a touchdown pass who beat Chris Harris Jr. on the play, but an illegal hands to the face by Cam Robinson penalty wiped it out and pushed the Jaguars back.
Minshew tried it again, but Justin Simmons jumped the route and broke the pass up. On second and 20, Minshew hit Chark for a six yard gain where the Jaguars called their final timeout. On third and 14, Minshew was hit as he threw for the incomplete pass, but they preserved a field goal attempt before halftime.
