ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE?!?!?!?!

Good. Let’s jump right in because I know you’re as excited as I am to see if this new head coach - who by all accounts is a badass - can whip this now finalized roster into shape and get some big wins out of it.

It’s been a rough two (even three) years, but ultimate fans like you don’t rattle easily. I know that even if you’re hesitant to be super excited about this upcoming season, deep down you believe this team will be better and will get the franchise back on a winning trajectory.

Of course, I’m predicting 16-0 (ok, ok, Whorfin, I’ll go 19-0!!!) but regardless of how the wins and losses fall, I am absolutely looking forward to watching more competent - even exciting - football, beginning with a Raider ass-kicking in seven days on Monday Night Football in Oakland.

As usual, there are a few ground rules for this adventure. Actually, there’s really only one:

IN-TER-ACT with each other. No more lurking. No more treating this post like a junior high dance where everyone just stands by the wall and sways and sings by him/herself. No more reading and saying to yourself, “oh that was fun, time to turn on the game.”

The entire purpose of this post is to bring members’ experiences and viewpoints to the forefront, and if you all aren’t going to interact with each other, then I’m not providing the forum. Nothing is more of a drag than for someone to take a lot of time thinking of and writing out answers to A TON of questions and then not having any comments.

OK, that was my mom lecture of the day. In fact, it was the same one last season and it worked great, so I used it again ;)

On to the UFG Selection Tuesday - here’s how it works:

• Name your game/week in the comments

• First come, first served (except JasonAult16 gets Week 7 because he just asked for it on Twitter five minutes ago. Whoever said Twitter was useless??)

• Up to two people per game (if necessary, though it’s better if just one!)

• Whorfin always gets the Bye Week if he wants it

• KRONK always gets SUPER BOWL WEEK

• Shasta77 gets any week he wants because I’m biased. Deal with it :)

• Expect an email from me the week of your preview with the questions
