The #Broncos fired offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello, source said.

...and just like that the Rich Scangarello era has ended in Denver.
What was billed at season’s start as a promising infusion of the Kubiak/Shanahan scheme into Denver’s offense turned out to be much ado about not a lot of offense. During his time in Denver, Scangarello’s offense was 28th in the league in points and yards, 29th in 1st downs, 28th in passing yards, and last in passing touchdowns.
While his firing was unexpected, it’s hard to be surprised that Scangarello’s tenure with the Broncos came to such a swift end. I didn’t want to jump on Scangarello for calling plays that made me scratch my head and scream at my television, but I knew after the game in Kansas City, when he asked his rookie QB to throw it 40 times in the snow, that change might not be such a far-fetched idea.
...and you thought this part offseason was going to be boring.
With promising young talent on the offensive side of the ball, it’s going to be fun to see how last year’s anemic offense blossoms into what we all know it can be with Drew Lock under center. Now we just have to wait all offseason to see it.
