Randy Gradishar comes up short on Hall of Fame vote

The Denver Broncos linebacker was left off the Centennial Class for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Orange Crush Defense continues to have zero representation in the Hall.

For more than a quarter century, Randy Gradishar has waited.

And waited.

And waited.

The wait continues for the Denver Broncos linebacker.

It should come as no surprise the leader of the Orange Crush Defense was left out of the Centennial Class. Why would the “special” group of people formed to induct 10 Seniors, three Contributors and two coaches elect one of the greatest linebackers in NFL history?

At this point, it’s fair to wonder if Gradishar will ever get his due. Some felt this was a great shot for him to get inducted. That the tide was finally turning. We should have known better.

This is a disgrace and an outrage, but nothing new.

I’ll leave you with this, from Andrew Mason.

There have been 10 linebackers in NFL history who have 20+ career interceptions, 10+ fumble recoveries and 7+ Pro Bowl selections.

Of those 10, eight are on the NFL 100.

Of those 10, nine were inducted into the Hall of Fame within two years of eligibility. Two mother-effing years.

The one who isn’t enshrined?

Randy Gradishar.

It’s complete and utter bullshit the Broncos linebacker isn’t in the Hall of Fame and isn’t in this Centennial Class. That “special” group of voters failed.
