Year over year fan confidence spikes after strong finish by Broncos

The Denver Broncos are trending upward and a big part of that comes from the emergence of Drew Lock as the teams starting quarterback.

During the 2018 season, the Denver Broncos finished 0-4 in their final four games scoring just 13 points per game to close things out. Our weekly SB Nation FanPulse survey found that just 28% of fans felt confident in the direction of the team at the end of that 2018 season.

If that seems high, it is. The survey came as news broke that former Broncos head coach Vance Joseph was fired. That boosted confidence in that moment.

Meanwhile, here in 2019, Drew Lock took the reigns of the team and went 4-1 in the Broncos final five games of the season. It was a Drewcember to remember and has Broncos Country confidence at 83% heading into the offseason. That ranks eight among all NFL blogs around SB Nation.

Not bad for a team that finished 7-9 and missed the playoffs.

FanPulse is a polling project put on SB Nation to gather the opinions and insights of the most plugged-in Denver Broncos fans. If that describes you, then SIGN UP HERE to join us and other knowledgeable fans for NFL FanPulse.
