The Denver Broncos (0-3) 2020 season has been mired by injuries and as the losses begin to pile up early there is chatter among fans about the potential of a run at Trevor Lawrence in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, that chatter could end this evening if Brett Rypien can take down the New York Jets (0-3) on Thursday Night Football.

Sam Darnold will benefit from the return of Jamison Crowder to the lineup and also tackle Mekhi Becton, which should help him get some drives together in this game against an injury-maligned Denver defense. That means Rypien is going to have to produce in his first ever NFL start.

Through three games, the Broncos offensive line is among the league leaders in pressure rate giving up pressure on 39% of their dropbacks. If that continues in this game, then the Denver offense might find a lot of difficulty putting together many scoring drives.

The first “Trevor Bowl” of 2020 is about to begin!
