Will Cam Newton play on Monday against the Broncos?

Broncos Country Tonight went “behind enemy lines” on Friday to talk with the Boston Herald’s Karen Guregian to preview Monday’s game in New Engalnd.

Will he play or won’t he?

That’s a question you throw out for the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots.

For the Broncos, it’s on Drew Lock and his shoulder.

For the Patriots, it’s on Cam Newton and his COVID-19 positivity.

The one constant this week has been the uncertainty around Newton’s status for Monday’s game. As a result, Denver head coach Vic Fangio has prepared for all New England quarterbacks. That’s the smart decision, and prepares the Broncos for Newton, Brian Hoyer or Jarrett Stidham.

On Friday’s Broncos County Tonight, Ryan Edwards and Benjamin Allbright went “behind enemy lines” with Karen Guregian from the Boston Herald. To preview the game, but also try to find out: Will Newton play?

“Well, I think with three names, three hats, you can pull someone’s name from the hat,” she told the guys. “I think, purposefully, that’s how Belichick wants it and loves to keep people in suspense. Although, coach Fangio is expecting Newton and I’m leaning toward that as well, but, again, we’ll see.”
