Did the Broncos or Patriots benefit more from game being postponed?

The game being postponed could actually help both teams, but who does it benefit the most? I’d say it helps Denver the most.

Ryan Edwards and Benjamin Allbright posed an interesting question to Andrew Mason of The DNVR on Monday night. Which team, the Denver Broncos or New England Patriots, will benefit the most from the game being postponed to Week 6?

We’ll likely see the return of Cam Newton for the Patriots and that will definitely make a positive impact for New England, but if the Broncos get Drew Lock back that will instantly make this postponement something that gives them the slight edge. They may not win, but their chances to win would be much higher with Lock than with Brett Rypien.

I felt like the Patriots were going to curb-stomp Rypien defensively and that was going to be very difficult to overcome. With Lock, that might give the Broncos some ability to compete in this game and that is significant. Having more guys back healthy would be a huge boost for Denver.
