NFL Power Rankings for Week 5

It’s going to be a long 15 years if the Denver Broncos don’t find a quarterback that can match Patrick Mahomes throw for throw.

A month into the season and we are starting to see teams begin to separate themselves into clumps. You have your playoff contenders You have your fringe playoff contenders. You have your mediocre teams and you have the bottom of the barrel. Before we get to the start 1-32 rankings, let’s break them into those clumps visually.

I sneaked the Denver Broncos into the mediocre section, because despite all of their injuries they found a way to win a game with their third string quarterback on a short week. Sure it was against the New York Jets, but a win is a win when many of the teams at the bottom of the barrel are losing everything in every way possible.

The class of the NFL remains Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, but there are two very good NFC teams right now in the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks. Russell Wilson is on the same pace that Peyton Manning was in 2013 when he threw for an NFL record 55 touchdowns.

Here are my full Week 5 power rankings for the NFL.
