Look, we’ve been talking about “Tanking for Trevor” behind the scenes for 2 weeks now here at MHR. Pros. Cons. What-ifs. Should they?
But why in the world are we having this as a major discussion point after only 4 games played in the season?
For this Bronco fan, it has to do with history.
I’m sorry, but yes it is time. It has nothing to do with you, me, or any other Bronco fan questioning the team, its heart, its ability, or even doubting any of that.
It has to do with 5 years since Super Bowl 50 and little to no palpable success to cheer for at any of those season’s end.
Hope springs eternal every offseason, but it fades very quickly when it is the 5th time you’ve seen the production.
And the answer is absolutely, unquestionably, “YES.”
Yes the Broncos should draft Trevor Lawrence with the #1 pick if they earn that this season. Without a doubt and without hesitation. And if John Elway, Drew Lock, or Vic Fangio think otherwise, then they should be fired on the spot.
