The Denver Broncos have signed tight end Troy Fumagalli to the practice squad the day they officially moved Albert Okwuegbunam to injured reserve with a torn ACL. Fumagalli is a former Broncos fifth-round pick from 2018 and played heavily last season. He was waived/injured back in September, but is healthy and ready to go.

They also added offensive lineman Jon Halapio to their practice squad on Monday. He started 23 games for the New York Giants over the last three seasons. He has extensive experience at center. That makes sense considering they moved Patrick Morris to the Practice Squad Reserve/Injured list last week leaving a hole at the position to fill.

It was reported during Sunday’s game that the Broncos are down six starters on defense from their Week 1 projected roster and have had similar issues staying healthy on offense. The season has been quite a challenge from that standpoint. At 3-5, the team is preparing to face AFC West rival Oakland Raiders next week.
