The only player on the injury report for the Denver Broncos that has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders is special teams ace Joe Jones. They will have two offensive tackles that are unknowns for gameday in starter Demar Dotson and his backup Jake Rodgers.
“He’s (Dotson) going to try a little bit today and we’ll have a better feel of that after today’s practice,” Head Coach Vic Fangio said. “I don’t think Joe will make it. I’m pretty confident Jerry will. Jake won’t practice today but he’s making progress and that will be a gameday decision with him also.”
To compensate, the Broncos may bring Calvin Anderson onto the field for some of his first major action of 2020.
“I think he’s developed well,” Fangio said of Anderson. “I like what I see from him. I know our defensive players respect him and his ability. I think [Offensive Line Coach] Mike [Munchak] and ‘Kupe’ [Assistant Offensive Line Coach Chris Kuper] have done a good job bringing him along. If he has to play on Sunday, I’m kind of anxious to see him play and I think he’ll play well.”
Elijah Wilkinson was recently activated off of injured reserve, but it sure looks like Anderson is ready to go given his most recent tweet.
That should be something interesting to watch for on Sunday. On the Raiders side of the ball, they listed tackle Kolton Miller as doubtful and a surprise addition with an illness was offensive guard Gabe Jackson. That is something to also keep an eye on come Sunday’s inactives report.
