At least the Broncos have a center of the future

Llyod Cushenberry joined BCT to talk about how 2020 has gone, so far.

On Broncos Country Tonight, Lloyd Cushenberry III joined Ryan and Ben to check in and talk about how his rookie year is going.

The Broncos class of 2020 came in with a lot of hype, and Cushenberry was a player fans were excited about. It’s been a bit of a struggle, to put it mildly, for the the Broncos. The offensive line has not been as good as predicted, but there is talent to build on.

Ryan asked Cushenberry if there was something he has learned since the beginning of the season. His answer was interesting. It was confirmation that everyone in the league is an elite talent.

Coming off a national championship season at LSU, there were always going to be games where the talent across the ball just wasn’t there. Now, in the NFL the talent level is always top level. That’s a pretty big adjustment that a starter on the best team in the nation has to make when the NFL comes calling.

Recent weeks have been difficult for the Broncos. There have been some tough moments for the rookie, but he doesn’t shy away from them. “I’m definitely not satisfied with my play. We just trying to continue to get better and play to our standard that we set for ourselves everyday and every week.”

It’s not been pretty in Broncos Country in 2020. Injuries, covid, poor play. It’s been a mess. One thing that can be said, however, is that players like Cushenberry have the potential to be a big part of the Broncos future.
