The Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers released their second injury report of the week today. The big news today was Panthers star running back, Christian McCaffrey tweaking his quad during practice which now puts his status for Sunday’s game in doubt.
Panthers coach Matt Rhule says he "does not expect" Christian McCaffrey (tweaked quad) to be ready to play Sunday against the #Broncos, which would've been the RB's first game against his hometown team— Kyle Newman (@KyleNewmanDP) December 10, 2020
Panthers Head Coach Matt Rhule told reporters after practice today that he does no expect Christian McCaffrey to play this Sunday vs. the Broncos. He didn’t completely rule him out for the game, but his status appears to be a game-time decision at best.
For the Broncos, Mark Barron, Demar Dotson, Jerry Jeudy, and Malik Reed all put in full practices after either being listed as a DNP or a limited session on Wednesday. Quarterback Drew Lock was added to the injury report today with a back injury but he also put in a full session as well. So this is something to keep an eye on as we move forward into the week.
The only player to sit out practice today for the Broncos was guard Graham Glasgow who also sat out Wednesday’s practice. He likely would need to practice at some level on Friday if he wants to play this Sunday vs. the Panthers.
For the Panthers, guard Dennis Daley, cornerback Rasul Douglas, and defensive end Marquis Haynes all missed practice. This isn’t including the players placed on the Covid-19 list earlier this week.
