Week 15 NFL Power Rankings

We are getting the end of the need for power rankings and there is a clear break from the contenders and the pretenders.

This is has been a strange year, but the more strange it was the more it looks like it’ll end up being a repeat of 2019 with the Kansas City Chiefs standing atop the NFL mountain.

I hate that this is true and I am probably going to hate the next 10 years as well. The Chiefs have their John Elway and the AFC West is scrambling to figure out how to compete with that.

As for the rest of the NFL, the only team that I think might pose a serious matchup challenge for the Chiefs is the 9-4 Tennessee Titans. If they play Kansas City and Derrick Henry has himself a day... that might be our only hope to stop the repeat.

The NFC has a serious contender too as Aaron Rodgers continued to put up MVP numbers and has his Green Bay Packers in position to take the #1 overall seed in the conference. Beyond that, the NFC looks kind of weak. That might change once Drew Brees returns for the New Orleans Saints, but there is no telling how well he’ll play after returning from such a serious injury.

There there is our beloved Denver Broncos. They had their best offensive performance last week against the 4-9 Carolina Panthers, but they face a real test this week in Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. All we are hoping for is consistency from Drew Lock. That would give us all some good vibes heading into the offseason. They stand at 20th on this week’s power rankings, which is about right.
