Good morning, Broncos Country!
Which Drew Lock will the Denver Broncos get?
That’s not an indictment against the young quarterback, but it’s perhaps the most important question as the Broncos face the Kansas City Chiefs tonight.
Will it be the Lock who has struggled, to say the least, the two times he’s played the Chiefs?
Or is it the Lock we saw against the Miami Dolphins?
All of Broncos Country is hoping it’s the latter. Even it didn’t lead to a win, it would be a huge boon for Lock and the Broncos. When you look at how the last three games have gone in this rivalry, it would be a sight for sore eyes in Denver. In those games, the Broncos have lost by 24, 20 and 27 points.
Obviously whether Denver gets the Lock from the Dolphins game is tied to Pat Shurmur’s game plan and how effectively the Broncos run the ball. As with any quarterback, a strong rushing attack sets him and the rest of the offense up for success. So it’s not all on Lock.
However, the first two games he’s played against Kansas City, he hasn’t exactly helped himself either. The Chiefs are now the measuring stick in the NFL, and this is the next opportunity for Lock and the Broncos to see where they stand.
By the way, I still can’t believe it’s been over five years and 10 games since Denver beat the Chiefs.

Ian also gives his keys to the Chiefs game, and wonders, fittingly, which Lock Denver will get?
