If you can’t score, you can’t win.
In 2020, the Denver Broncos used 6 of their 10 draft picks on offense. On Sunday night, two of those picks accounted for all of 34-yards and 0 touchdowns.
This year, the Broncos have fallen short of 20-points in 7 of their 12 games.
To say the offense is underperforming is an understatement. What was billed in the offseason as a unit poised for explosive production has failed to produce anything but anguish for fans and frustration for the players.
There is no excuse for these 2020 Denver Broncos. Pat Shurmur’s lack of imagination and interest in catering the offense to the skillset of the players is what has doomed them in each of their miserable losses.
Blame the quarterback, the offensive line, or the lack of fans in the stands if it makes you feel better. The fact is that the Denver Broncos don’t score enough points to win on a weekly basis. Adjustments haven’t been made over the course of the season and what you see is what you get.
Vic Fangio needs to get a grip on the offensive side of the ball before Pat Shurmur chokes the life out of his tenure as head coach. With playoff hopes all but having bled to death for a 5th season in a row, fans are justifiably fed up with offensive ineptitude.
Whatever this is, it’s not working... and it’s not worth watching.
