Few events match the pomp and circumstance of the NFL Scouting Combine ... especially when it comes to the offseason.
All 32 teams are represented in Indianapolis, as well as the top college football players in the country. Coaches and general managers get to check boxes on players they have interest in and could select in the NFL Draft. For the fans, the Combine allows them to put on their scout hat for their favorite teams and, come April, see if they were right.
On the MHR Radio Podcast, Adam Malnati and I previewed the NFL Scouting Combine with Trevor Sikkema of The Draft Network and what fans of the Denver Broncos should look for next week in Indy.
Trevor talked about the receivers, offensive tackles and cornerbacks, at least for the No. 15 pick. In terms of the receivers, he thinks one of Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb and Henry Ruggs III will be there for the Broncos. Since most think Ruggs will blow up the Combine and improve his Draft capital, Trevor said if Jeudy does the same it could take some of Ruggs’ shine away.
The best part of the discussion, however, was when Trevor took us on his journey through Game of Thrones. He hasn’t watched the show before, and his recaps of the episodes are brilliant and some of the best stuff on social media; especially his reaction to the “Red Wedding.”
