Ah, finally back to work after the most insane vacation of my life. I’m now the proud and tired father of a very cute little girl who will be repping her Broncos with pride later this year and I now realize that I’ll have a great reason for watching every late NFL game this season.
During the few weeks that I’ve been away from MHR and the NFL, I have had some time to soak in podcasts and punditry from around the league and fortunately, the Broncos have had little going on. Which is exactly what you like to see at this time of the year as a fan of a team that was recently a dumpster fire of bad news.
What’s new? Well, players we expected in December not to be with the team in 2020 are still likely to head out the door. The Harris’ are almost surely leaving (and rumor has CHJ to the Chiefs - puke!) and it leaves us to wonder about guys like Wolfe and McGovern. Other teams are craving Justin Simmons but there’s nearly zero chance that he escapes Elway’s clutches. Finally, thankfully, Drew Lock is the Denver Broncos’ QB.
Joe Rowles - as per usual - has a great list of potential targets in free agency but the biggest news has been the potential availability of star Wide Receiver, Stefon Diggs. Just imagining Diggs, Sutton, Fant, Lindsay and a stud rookie WR in Pat Shurmer’s offense...mouth watering. Still, there’s been no solid evidence that he is actually on the block and so we should focus more on guys like Breshad Perriman and the many talented youngsters in the draft.
In our podcast- now moved over to YouTube - we discuss where this team is likely headed in the next few weeks and our feelings about the fairly surprising change at OC.
Since we are new to the platform, it would be great if you could subscribe, turn on notifications and give a thumbs-up for our podcast. Broncos and Bratwurst will continue to bring you in-depth analysis each week about why or why not we like our QBs faces - and also actual football stuff - so be sure to not miss one second of the action!
Who would you be most happy with acquiring?
