John Elway has announced that the Denver Broncos will pick the contract options for both kicker Brandon McManus and inside linebacker Todd Davis, but will not pick up the contract option for guard Ron Leary.
So RG Ron Leary will not return. Move expected as he was due $8 million-plus in 2020 and he has struggled to stay healthy. K McManus $1 million option and ILB Todd Davis $500k option will be picked up. Broncos still expected to look at ILB position. #9sports

McManus, 28, will enter the final year of his deal with a base salary of $3M and a total cap hit of $4.25M in 2020. McManus has been a solid and accurate kicker since 2014 having convert over 85% of his kicks in three of the last five seasons. Davis, 27, is the only veteran inside linebacker on the roster and figures to help continuity there inside. His contract option will count $6M against the cap.
As far as Ron Leary goes, he has been oft-injured and last season caught the penalty bug. Moving on from him will free up $8M in cap space.
