The Denver Broncos have moved to keep nose tackle Mike Purcell on the roster in 2020 by placing a second-round tender on Wednesday. That will put his salary for this season at $3.25 million. They will bring back offensive lineman Jake Rodgers as well.

Purcell has worked his way through to a starting job after coming into the league undrafted in 2013. His familiarity with Vic Fangio is how he ended up in Denver and he proved to be a stout run defender for them last season.
As for Rodgers, he has moved a lot since being drafted in the seventh round in 2015. He has switched teams 10 times since joining the Broncos last season.
