Not that it necessarily is set in stone, but the NFL’s official position on the 2020 season is that it is set to start on schedule. Working with the Duke Infection Control Outreach Network, their information at this point speaks to a normal season with fans in attendance as a real possibility.
More importantly, the NFL playoffs will never be the same after this season with a 7th team being added to the mix officially. This means more interesting football, more significant games at the end of the season, and potentially more zany opportunities for teams not the 1 or 2 seed to make it to the Super Bowl.
It is in my opinion a solid step forward. It is no where near as exciting as reducing the number of asinine preseason games, but as a fan of football, I’m for this change. What about the rest of you out there in Broncos Country? Do you like the change? Hate it? Do you think the season is going start on time?
