According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Von Miller has contracted COVID-19. The 31-year old superstar pass rusher is entering his 10th NFL season.
NFL star and Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller has a confirmed case of COVID-19, his agent @JobyBranion of @VanguardSG tells me. The #Broncos star is at home resting and in good spirits. He plans to speak publicly tomorrow.

Rapoport followed up his initial tweet to add that the Broncos are aware of the situation and wish Miller a speedy recovery. One factor that may complicate the situation is Miller has had asthma his entire life. The CDC’s website states that people with moderate to severe ashma are at higher risk for getting very sick from COVID-19 as the virus can impact your respiratory tract, cause an asthma attack, and potentially lead to pnemonia and acute respiratory disease.
Von Miller went to see the team doctors after feeling sick recently and then was diagnosed with COVID-19 I’m told. Miller has had asthma his entire life. Wishing him all the best to get healthy. pic.twitter.com/C8C2DFbj8r

As of now, there is no vaccine for COVID-19. I’m not a medical expert, but would think Miller can receive as good of health care as is available. My understanding is that recovering from COVID-19 can take from two weeks to two months in the most severe cases.
I do hope that everyone reading this is doing their best to stay safe and practice social distancing to keep the vulnerable members of society as safe as we can. Reports say someone can be asymptomatic and still be contagious.
Agent Joby Branion told me that Von Miller expects to address his positive test result for Covid-19 on Friday. Branion: "Given the circumstances in the country right now, he feels it's worth letting people know that this is a real concern and not something they can take lightly."
