Denver Broncos select Albert Okwuegbunam in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: NOV 09 Missouri at Georgia

The Denver Broncos have selected Missouri tight end Albert Okwuegbunam in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

General Manager John Elway and the Denver Broncos just added Drew Lock’s favorite target while at Missouri here with Big Albert O.

He is a 6’5”, 258 pound tight end who ran a 4.49 40-time during the NFL Scouting Combine. He was also a very productive tight end while at Missouri with Drew Lock. He played a total of two season with Lock and he caught 72 receptions and 17 touchdowns during that time. So, he was a very productive red zone weapon for Lock while at Missouri.

Albert O. now joins a rather crowded tight end room that includes Noah Fant, Jeff Heuerman, Nick Vannett, Jake Butt and others. So I think we’ll see some roster moves here to thin this out just a bit. I would imagine that Jeff Heuerman is now on the trading block.

The Broncos entered this draft with the idea of improving their offensive and that’s exactly what they did. Adding two explosive weapons in Jerry Juedy and K.J. Hamler, a starting center in Lloyd Cushenberry and now another weapon at tight end in Albert O.

We should see the Broncos put up some points this season which will be a welcomed sight for all.
