The Broncos have obvious targets in the draft

The MHR Radio Podcast examines the main targets for the Broncos with the 15th pick in the NFL Draft.

The Denver Broncos will have several options in the NFL Draft. In the end however, it seems inevitable that John Elway and Vic Fangio will be looking to add an offensive weapon. The theme of the offseason for the Broncos has been improving the defense through free agency, and the offense through the draft.

On the MHR Radio Podcast, Ian St. Clair and I reviewed some of the possibilities for Denver at No. 15 in the draft. Mike Klis posted his 9 candidates for the Broncos at 15. With 5 wide receivers, 3 cornerbacks, and an offensive tackle, the positions of need are pretty obvious.

The top three wide receivers in the draft, Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs III, and CeeDee Lamb, would all be good picks at 15. If the goal is to provide Drew Lock with as many weapons as possible, and to score touchdowns, this would be the direction to go. At that point, it becomes all about fit.

A speed receiver is the missing piece to the puzzle. All three could be that guy, but Ruggs has been the standout in Broncos Country throughout this process. If Elway and Fangio think he’s the best option, they need to do whatever is necessary to get him on the roster.
