Broncos draft class barely moves the needle on their playoff odds for 2020

The Denver Broncos remain in a tight competition for second place in the AFC West in the most recent odds released.

The Denver Broncos had a strong 2020 NFL Draft according to the consensus of experts out there, but that did little to improve their playoff odds this season. While I personally think their draft class will make an instant impact for the better this season, oddsmakers largely disagreed.

The AFC West will continue to be dominated by the Kansas City Chiefs, while second place will be a massive scrum between the Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, and Las Vegas Raiders.

AFC West Odds

DraftKings:

  • Broncos +800
  • Chargers +900
  • Raiders +1000

FanDuel:

  • Chargers +700
  • Broncos +1100
  • Raiders +1200

Playoff Odds

The Broncos playoff odds suggest they are a borderline playoff team by oddsmakers with a favor leaning towards no playoffs for them in 2020.

After the selection of Jeudy in the first round, sportsbooks DraftKings and FanDuel had similar odds for Denver making the playoffs. DraftKings was “yes” at +165 and “no” at -210; FanDuel was yes at +162 and no at -205.

Now that the draft is complete, not much has changed for the Broncos’ playoffs odds.

In fact, FanDuel is the exact same. DraftKings has moved slightly to yes at +163 and no at -200.

As for Super Bowl odds, we’re talking +4000 for DraftKings and +6000 for FanDuel. It would appear the Broncos need a lot of things to go right next season and oddsmakers don’t think that’ll happen.

What do you think Broncos Country? Are the Broncos are playoff team in 2020? I think they are. The explosiveness on offense and their already stout defense should lead to more wins than losses this season. I think a 10-win season is definitely within reach.
