The Broncos drafted linebacker Justin Strnad in the 5th round, and signed corner Essang Bassey along with Hinton after the draft to compete for roster spots. Hinton spoke to the both Strnad and Bassey’s impressive work ethic and leadership off the field.
“It’s been amazing having those guys along with me in this process in heading to Denver alongside, just because of the character those guys have,” Hinton said. “They are the best of the best when it comes to off the field, being great men and being leaders. Great guys to be around and great players as well, so I’m excited to be able to go out and have those guys to support.”
It sounds as though Denver liked what they saw from the Wake Forest locker room this past year and it fits with their recent draft strategy of high character players with great off the field attributes.
