Will the Broncos make us cry in 2020?

Whether they are happy or sad tears, sport comes with big emotions.

Whether you are a crier or not, sports is something that brings out great emotions. This week at MHR we will be taking some time to discuss those moments in Broncos history.

On the MHR Radio Podcast, Ian and I went over some of those moments that brought out some strong emotions. There were moments that felt like they would never happen, like John Elway finally hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. There were moments that brought an end to an era. There were happy moments and sad moments.

In the end, sports are about more than just the action on the field. They are about the moments we experience, and the people we share them with. Super Bowl 50 was the culmination of Peyton Manning’s career. It was a moment that hit me with its finality. The eyes got misty, because of my investment in the outcome.

However, most of the events that struck a chord with Ian or I included the memory of family members, or friends. The emotions of being with people who shared the moment with us.

Along with the discussion of sports moments bringing us to tears, we also got to talk about Manning playing golf with Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Tom Brady.

“The Match 2” was a fun event to watch. Manning and Woods prevailed over Mickelson and struggling Brady. While the golf was fun, and the trash talking great, the best part was the $20 million raised to help with COVID-19 relief.

Was there a moment in Broncos history that brought a tear to your eye? Let us know in the comments.
