New video shows Bryce Callahan working out surgically repaired foot

Denver Broncos cornerback Bryce Callahan is finally fully recovered from a foot injury that sidelined him for all of 2019.

The biggest question mark on the Denver Broncos defense heading into the 2020 season is at cornerback. Chris Harris Jr. is no longer around and they struggled down the stretch with injuries all over the place at the position.

One of those injuries was from the very start with high-priced 2019 free agent signing Bryce Callahan not playing a single down over a lingering foot injury he suffered in the 2018 season. Ultimately, he underwent surgery on the foot to surgically repair it heading into this offseason.

If he comes into this season healthy, the Broncos might be in a much better place at cornerback than most of us assumed. If Callahan can begin to live up to his three-year, $21 million deal then Denver’s defense might be snapping back into a championship caliber type unit.

With a healthy Callahan, the Broncos will have their slot situation figured out. They also picked up A.J. Bouye in a trade this year to lock down the outside. That leaves the other outside corner position open for competition. DeVante Bausby shined prior to a scary season-ending injury last season, but he is back and at full strength. Denver also drafted Michael Ojemudia in the third-round. He is unheralded, but looks like a perfect scheme fit for the Vic Fangio defense.
