Bring on the Denver Broncos season.
The NFL and NFL Players’ Association agreed to terms on the start of the 2020 season. Now the rookies, Drew Lock, the other quarterbacks, and injured veterans report on Monday.
That now allows for the typical Broncos training camp storylines, even if this training camp is far from typical. The big one is training camp position battles.
On Friday’s Broncos Country Tonight, our Laurie Lattimore-Volkmann joined Ryan Edwards to talk about the Broncos storylines they’re looking forward to, how COVID-19 might impact roster construction and the excitement quotient.
“I’m interested in every single storyline,” Laurie joked, noting that the cornerback battle on defense and all the skills players on offense will get her primary attention. “I, personally, am not going to be too worried about the offensive line. The thing on offense I’m going to be looking at is Melvin Gordon and Phillip Lindsay and the battle there. And this is silly, but I’m going to enjoy Jerry Jeudy and Gordon going back-and-forth about the altitude.”
